Effortless HR driven employee lifecycle management by connecting your Active Directory and cloud HRMS

Traditional Approach

Traditionally, your human resources department informs the IT staff to provision accounts for new hires, and deprovision accounts when employees leave. Updates to employee profiles, such as, location, department, job title, etc., need to be addressed immediately. Methods such as emails, uploading CSV files, or custom scripts are used to keep your Active Directory updated. These procedures are insecure, error prone, hard to manage, and creates bottlenecks in user onboarding and increases security risks when the access rights of former employees are not revoked in time.

Using AD Linked

By using an easy to create connection between your cloud human resource management system (HRMS) and your Active Directory (AD), AD Linked will synchronize selected data stored in the  employee profile of your HRMS, with corresponding attributes in AD. The process protects data integrity, avoids data entry errors, tightens security, and saves IT staff time. AD users are created, updated, and disabled when HR staff create or update employee data establishing the HRMS as the Single Source of Truth (SSOT).

Key benefits of HR driven employee lifecycle management

Increase productivity

HR Team emails, HRMS CSV export files, complicated scripts are no longer needed. Using AD Linked, you can automatically provision accounts in Active Directory, accelerating the employee onboarding process.

Manage risk

Ex-employees’ accounts can go unnoticed and it’s crucial to disable these accounts in AD as quickly as possible to mitigate potential compromise of ex-employees’ accounts. By integrating AD Linked with your cloud HRMS, the accounts of former employees will be disabled immediately, no longer relying on manual methods to perform this process. Protecting your company data from a breach by reducing the access window of a malicious user accessing sensitive data.

Synchronize updates

Roles and responsibilities of employees change constantly, and the IT team is tasked with updating the properties of their AD accounts, add them to relevant groups, or move them to another organizational unit. With AD Linked connected to your cloud HRMS, changes in the employee fields in the HRMS database will automatically trigger changes in the corresponding attributes in AD.
